There is also a Color-Skopar 50mm f/2.5 for the Nikon rangefinders: the S-Skopar 50mm f/2.5.

Erik (or others with experience) how does the Skopar compare with the Summaron 2.8 in terms of image characteristics?

I think that money-wise and in terms of quality you are better off with a Color-Skopar 35mm f/2.5.
The Summaron 35mm f/3.5 is a fine lens if you can find one without haze.

Thank you Erik - would you say the same regarding the Summaron 2.8?

Somebody better start putting the COLOR in the Color-Skopar thread
It's not gonna be me, unfortunately, since I rarely go out with a 50, but I love the little Skopar (chrome) for it's optical qualities and even more so for its build and ergonomics.

COLOR in the name of the Color-Skopar stands for "color-correction" wich has benefits for both color and b+w photography. Modern b+w-films have a complete color sensitivity.
