rover said:that is pretty wide, I was thinking it would be the other way around, the 35mm framelines would be like the 50 or 75mm lines in a Leica M.
enochRoot said:they are about the same size as the 50mm framelines on a standard magnification leica. not too small at all! i was a bit worried they might be, but alas they are not. and sherm is right...the 21mm is very easy to see w/ room around it. using the old 21mm elmarit on it...the lens (sans shade) takes up less viewfinder than a noctilux on a leica M.
i love the matte finish, and even the R4A has the new shutter (like the R3M and R2M) with the center shutter blade in a lighter color.
rover said:That is very encouraging as being able to use a wide standard with the same camera will allow it to be a nice small kit. Just think of the R4 with the tiny 21/4, 28/3.5 and 35/2.5.
biomed said:My son called me at work to let me know that my R4M arrived this afternoon. Boy, it's going to seem like a long commute home tonight! My WA kit will be the CV 21/4 and the CV 35/2.5. A 25 or 28 is on my wish list.
I will post some photos as soon as I can.
