Thank you David. I used it in strong sunshine at f 16 here.

I used the CV 50 1 last evening for some available light images with the lens wide open, and then I used the lens at F 8 in sunshine. It performs very well in any aperture settings. I have been thinking about using this lens as the only lens on a long trip. It is bulky and heavy, but if it is the only lens used, this is manageable.

While there are many inexpensive fast lenses for sale these days, most lenses have some shortcomings. The CV lens seems so far to be without any issues.

Yes. It is worth it. I have the 7artisan 50 1.1 and also the CV 50 1.1. The CV 50 1.0 is special.
