Wide open from f/1.0 to f/1.4 for portrait would be my curious / main interest, and would like to see portrait photos by digital as well by film.

The pelican images are “portraits”. I will try to take some portraits with the lens wide open. If the eyes will be in focus, the nose will be out of focus.

I tried out to grossly overexpose for the pelican:

Then I opened the lens wide open, with the camera flashing 4000 as being too slow!

This pelican came out of the blue over me, so I had no time to refocus.

I am convinced that this lens is worth its cost of $1800. It is a beautiful lens too.

This is outside Joe Patti's Seafood. It is a busy fish market in Pensacola.

Quite often you can see some huge fish (brown) swimming here. I forgot the name. I was told that it cannot be eaten.

This lens is not small but it is not too large. The OOF is smooth.

I have used the CV 50/1 with the M10, and I tried to see how using this lens wide open in very dim light behaves.
