After buying the Zeiss Distagon 35, I've hardly used the Nokton because of its glow and bokeh, but I've been looking through old images and it's not such a bad lens, after all. It's sharp when stopped down, and the bokeh has beautiful soap-bubble highlights that aren't over the top. Vintage character vs Zeiss modern clarity, as it were.
