Share your first shots with the new Nokton !

Roland.

Roland, the street portraits are superb photojournalism! And the lens looks super. Would you say its similar in character to any Leica lens(es)? Thanks for posting the photos.

Thank you much, Jamie !

Hoping to not get flamed for this, but the only fast 50 that I have seen performing similarly (smooth OOF, very thin DOF, and high corner resolution) is the ASPH Summilux .... Then again, I haven't measured anything, this is just a practical in-use comment.

Possible, G. I never got to like the samples of the LTM 50/1.5 that I tried. And when I don't like how a lens handles, I don't use it much .... Size, built (I had to fix wobble in one) and min. focus of the LTM version always bugged me.

This one feels very different. And seems less prone to flare.

Sorry cann't help your GAS 🙂

I must have a good example of the LTM version as it is delightful, haven't seen much propensity to flare, but the new one does look like it will handle better.

Nothing will be bought until a few things get sold. There's hardly any space left to put anything now. :-\

Nice. I like the toes 🙂

I like the toes also. Nicely seen capture !

Very nice images in this thread. Looks like it's going to be another super image thread. Thank you all for posting.
Not tempted by this lens yet. The LTM version I have will "get me by" for now 🙂

Darn it.... for some time I was perusing this forum reinforcing my decision not to buy this lens. But the photos posted here are just so nice. I love the classic look and rendering.

I did pick up the Nokton and tried it out in a shop. It's a really nice looking lens. Focus action was smooth and I loved how you could change the aperature with one finger.

Love the chrome brass version.

Very beautiful photos! Although I think any lens would look really good with a model like that 🙂

I am trying really hard not to buy this lens... Any more examples of shots made with this lens, but specifically on film? Colour or black and white!

I'm totally not secretly trying to convince myself to get this lens... 😛

a few more...all wide open. Have to say....I love this lens

Lovely shot. Is this cropped or is this what you would get at about minimum focus distance.

I'm very, very impressed with this lens so far. I'm still getting used to not having a focus tab and having the distance scale only in meters, but the image quality is faultless:
