R4 has to be cool due to uniqueness. Nothing ever like it before AFAIK, with 21 and 25mm framelines. M8 is pretty cool too... Ummm, since I have both I must be a cool dude as well. 😎 😀

I went for the M8, that doesn't mean I either like, or desire one but they do seem to be quite cool, far cooler still are the iPhone camera widget thingy and anything Lomographic.

Cool has nowt to do with good.

If it was ever released, that Fuji folder that's been discussed at length on this site woud be right up there too.

The M8 got my vote despite being a parvenu - film is cooler than digital so an MP is cooler than an M8, but Leica M's trump all others. QED.

Nevertheless, the Casio is the coolest. It has something new, while the other ones are just an improved version of an improved version of something. and it depends how you define "cool" but i dont see anything cool in just another dslr with lower noise level.

The coolest re looks and tactile feel is the ZI.
Far more important, though, are the M8 and the Sigma DP1.
The former one simply because it is the best digital lightbox to which M mount lenses can be attached. And the latter one, because eventually there is a no nonsense compact digital with excellent IQ. These two represent milestones in camera history.
I voted for the DP1.

Fascinating results people ... so far the Zeiss Ikon is the runaway winner which I wasn't expecting and the M8 appears to be hunting the D300/D3 down which currently holds second place. The R4A has a lot of fans but needs a few more if it's to keep pace with the Leica! 😛

Interesting...... Would we loose out on the control we have now of editing RAW color files to B&W? I shoot RAW but have it display as B&W via the camera and then convert them in photoshop.

Yes, you would. Rather than applying colour filters in the B&W conversions, you'd have to use traditional colour filters on the lens while you were shooting. This could be a disadvantage though I suspect it would be outweighed by the benefits of the added sensitivity available by not using RGB filters on the sensor.
