Just purchased this lens this afternoon for the S3. I'm working on a project with another camera at the moment so will take a short while before I get to shooting with this 35. In the meantime I'm curious to see what others think of this lens. Would love to see some photos. Will post mine once I run a roll through it.

Check on our Flickr site under the tag "Nikkor 35mm f3.5". There are some shots done with this lens there. It is a good lens, on par with the Summaron 35f3.5 and far less flare prone than the Canon 35mm f3.5.

Thanks Tom. I was looking at Flickr under different tags, was mostly getting F mount lens' results. Good to know the official tag.
Ironically, the guy who I bought it from mentioned something about RFF and your name particularly Tom.
Hehe, small wold. Talked about Nikon Historic Society and how particular Tom A. is a rangefinder expect. I said "I know"

"A rangefinder expert" - I dont know - I have been using Rf's for longer than I care to remember, but the true experts are people like Jim Lager (Leica), Robert Rotoloni (Nikon) and Peter Dechert (Canon). If you really want to find out what gives with these brands, get their books. Of course, you start wanting it all!

I've used the Leica Thread Mount version, and assuming it's the same inside, it's a very good 35mm despite having only four elements.

I'll second that. Nice little lens.
