Great shot of the flutist, I haven't seen him in a long time.

This was taken about a month ago. I'm always hesitant to photograph street performers if I don't have any money to give them afterwards, feels kinda like stealing. Since I was characteristically broke that day, like every day, I kept walking past the flutist as he played. When I was about 6 ft down the street he lowered his instrument to shout at me "Hey, take my picture!" then, actually added "I don't want no money" . He then posed, pretended to play, and thanked me. Hopefully, next time I'm downtown he'll be around and I'll give him an inkjet print of the picture. Thanks for the compliment, first time anyone's ever said anything nice about one of my pictures on this forum 🙂 !

And, by the way, it was this very thread got me into the 2005 SP / 35mm f/1.8 set. Thanks Cal for showing me the negatives from his LTM version of the lens, it's comforting to see after such a significant cash outlay for the set. Will post some photos later to share. _John

Another one with the 35f1.8. This is a visually quite interesting area, close to the cruise ship terminal and the new (and expensive) conference center here in Vancouver. A deep "pit" with the water fall and sloping lawns and hedges.

I just made even rarer version of the lens.😀 I shimmed S-mount one to work on my Contax IIa. Film is still in the camera. Hope to finish it soon and look at the results.
