My contribution

This is a portrait of a friend of mine, a Mexican philosopher in London. You know the latine phrase "in vino veritas" (the truth is in the wine); well we did not find it in a pint of stout ... rather, our mind were as empty as his glass.
PS: I was thinking of your topic, Inaki, when I took this pic, so it's my contribution to the thread.

I like Peter's for a bar shot, but really like yours of your friend too, Marc.

I don't have many *in-focus* pics from bars as I usually arrive "prepared". So, here's another outside shot - I was on my way to a different bar. Can you guess what "Majiri" means?

Can one be a philosopher abroad?? I really am in the wrong line of work (I am not being sarcastic). I thought of double majoring in either Spanish Literature or Philosophy --my major is in Computer Science (pfft, there is no science in computers, it's really the art of making logic somehow work).

The Summitar is for people photos. Great shot. Dile que dije "saludos". Salut.

I like the portrait :D thank you very much for your photo it´s nice to know that someone was thinking about your topic while he was taking a photo and having an interesting conversation with a good friend, drinking that nice "focusing fluid" ;) .

does a reastaraunt count(if you drink a lot)?

In that case, YES :D
It seems a warm and cool restaurant (the bottles and the light) when you can have a good conversation while drinking. More photos of that restaurant?

In a bar in Chicago on a rainy afternoon.

In Israel it is uncustomary to drink during light hours so we dont have any bars open until evening(some open only during weekends!) so not many well lit shots are possible.

I usually only have my cameraphone with me when I'm in a bar, so...
