W/NW bridges

Some from Harrisburg, PA over the Susquehanna River

Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge to City Island. Closed to vehicles in 1972.

Here's an aerial shot showing the layout of the bridges. Man, it frustrates me when I don't shift the camera to clear the lens of obstructions when working in tight spaces!! grrr!

Note the gap in the pedestrian bridge at top, it no longer runs all the way across the Susquehanna River. Several sections were lost in 1996 due to an ice flow.
