Underside of Liberty Bridge (a pedestrian bridge) in Greenville, South Carolina, USA. Curved and cantilevered -- quite the work of design and engineering.

Canon P with CV Color Skopar 35/2.5, probably at f/16. Efke KB50 souped in Ilfosol 3. Pardon the bald white sky -- it was that kind of day.

Argenticien, it has been many years since I've been in Greenville. That is quite a structure.

Harry, that is what I call a soaking rain (witness two figures at left).

Michael, I like the footbridge shot.

Yes, Phil, it is Lisbon. I really liked this city... And thanks for the compliment! I like bridge pictures but I don't photograph them much. Go figure...

All right, while we're on the subject, I recognized it as well. Portugal is one of the few places I've been! I much prefer Ben B's composition to my own, but here is the entire Ponte 25 de Abril, as viewed on a hazy day from the observation deck atop the Monument to the Discoveries (the monument at the foot of which the woman is sitting in Ben B's photo). Apologies for the 9-year-old scan from a print. Sorry, taken with evil SLR (Pentax ZX-5 with Tamron 28-200 evil zoom).

It is a rather utilitarian bridge and rather derivative of the Golden Gate. For my money, the better bridge is Ponte de Dom Luís I in Oporto, built by one of Gustave Eiffel's disciples as I recall. (Picture taken with same evil kit, on same holiday, scanned in same bad way.)

These were from before I got into photography in earnest. They could have benefited from an XPan or similar! :D

Beautiful pictures ederek!

I played with Harrisburg Symphony for nine seasons and loved that city. Here are some I took:

An old shot from about `62.
The bridge is over the Manchester Ship Canal which linked Manchester with the port of Liverpool.
