All the cat photos are charming, but this one is exceptional I think. The big-eye expression, the CAT label, and the semi-closed hidey-box... really works well together!

For a second, I thought that was my Ameila Pond!
Thanks, Maggie, I recall your orange one! This morning Popsie nosed his way (unobserved) into the lazy susan in the kitchen as I accessed a cereal box. Later his grey tabby brother Teddy drew our attention to Popsie's distress at being trapped. Brothers are good for that... Popsie is sleek and solid and muscular, a graceful natural acrobat. And nosy...For a second, I thought that was my Ameila Pond!

I gotta add, it's nice seeing a lot of former street cats (chopp'd ear) have found homes with RFF members here and/or are being taken care of out of house.

"Toxoplasma gondii exerts a strange sort of mind control on rodents: Once infected with the brain parasite, they seem to lose their fear of cats and become more likely to get eaten."
Exposure to toxoplasmosis (which is carried by cats) causes mice to "fall in love with" cats (as some have expressed it). I sometimes think the same might be said of humans.
"Up to one-third of humans are thought to harbor a T. gondii infection, known as toxoplasmosis, and some research has linked it to schizophrenia and other mental illness."
See that proves it - We who love cats clearly have a mental illness.
