It's been almost two years since I lost him and I finally was able to do justice to this photo from Bob's last week:

In his last days, Bob loved to spend time in the catnip outside our door. He was blind in those last three weeks, but he loved the smell and texture and taste of the 'nip and he'd purr with pleasure during and after his time in the catnip.

That's a great photo Maggie. Even blind, I'm sure he was a stealthy hunter. We don't have a black cat now, but there is a friendly one down the street that we've always liked, and kind of looks like Bob, but a bit smaller.
