W/NW - Classic Cars

It should probably be noted that Boreham Motorworks are the ones who will actually be producing these cars under license from Ford.

Ever since I first visited England I have been somewhat fascinated by what a different presence Ford has over on the other side of the pond with cars that are far different than what we have seen here in the States. All totally understandable. I love learning about the UK car industry and over the years it has become obvious to me that the original MK I Escorts are now the things of legend over there based in large part on their success in rallying. As far as restomods (or continuation mods, or whatever else they might be calling them these days) go, this appears to be one of the better ones I’ve seen provided the final product looks like the images shown. But at that price it should be, lol. Were I into these cars, a clean mostly original car like the orange one pictured above would suit me fine.

Believe it or not, the 360 was the first Subaru to be sold in the US!

- Murray

I remember those two-stroke death traps. "You can store (a lot) soccer balls in it." Subaru made their US dealer take the little dogs if they wanted the flat four four strokes.

Whatever some people's personal feelings maybe about the safety of this automobile, or the business practices of the Subaru company back in 1960; I think the 360 is an excellent and stylish subject for photography. It's a classic car and I was thrilled to see one in mint condition rolling down the road toward me; it made my day. I was excited to try and photograph it in the best way possible to make a composition that is interesting and compelling to view.

All the best,
Mike

You did good with the composition, Mike!

I don't ever recall seeing one of these in my area (southeastern US.) They probably were mostly on the west coast of the US.
