The shot was taken in Halloran Springs , California along I-15 west of Las Vegas.
At the location, there is an abandoned gas station and restaurant.
It's cool that you recognized the place!

That is most definitely an abandoned gas station
It would be interesting to find out the price of gas the last time the station was in business. Maybe 25 cents per gallon?
