Interesting top-loader bridge on the guitar, as befits a Campilongo model.
Has it got the holes thru body and ferrules for through body stringing as an option?

On the vintage Tele and Esquire models Leo Fender introduced the top-loader bridge in late 1958 to the middle of 1959 and it was not very popular, so he reverted the two models back to their original stringing method.

Yep, you can string it either way. I prefer the top-loader; springier and slinkier.

Jim's '59 toploader is a real thing of beauty, and this Hahn does it justice, without being a copy. And at $200.00US less than an American Vintage Tele (or whatever Fender is calling it this year.), it's an insane bargain. I love it.

It's a road warrior that's seen lots of use over the years, but i don't know the specifics. It's been owned by the same professional for about 30 yrs and was well worn when he got it. It is in top playing shape & sounds terrific

Glad to hear (pun intended ;)) that it's in great playing shape. Perhaps the monochrome image makes what otherwise might be years of stains and wear look a bit like fire/smoke damage.

Thanks for the nice words! Looks like the Taylor factory?

Indeed it is! I'm not a huge fan of Taylor Guitars per se, but the factory tour was very interesting. For a mass produced guitar, there's still quite a lot of hand-work involved. Anyway, here's the finished product and the next frame on the roll. A couple of grands, as in a few different body shapes and also how much a new Taylor guitar will set you back. :p

well, ugh, i've been coming to RFF for a break from living , breathing & eating guitars for years now, but then i had to go and discover this thread.

my two primary, technical obsessions overlap when i start pointing ancient cameras at my customers as they pick up their guitars or try out instruments in my shop. i shoot in the available light, often wide-open. occasionally i'll shoot some semi-technical shots as i build instruments or head out to gigs with a long lens or two.
