excellent !

yes bill is a genius & i love my '5' but currently not using it much due to the recurring issue of jammed framelines ..time to pull the top plate off again.

on second thoughts this ^ pic of bill was probably with the old serenar 28 2.8 wide open and i've oversharpened the golf balls to boot ...

Who cares about the so-called golfball grain. That's Bill Frisell playing one of your guitars. How cool is that???

On a related note, have you seen this video about Bill reunited with his old Gibson, 37 years after he sold it?

Handmade, fully hollow, like a Casino or ES-330. Plays and sounds amazing.

Body and neck from a 1981/82 '57 re-issue, made in the original Fullerton Fender factory. It's body is from Dec of 1981, and the neck is from March of 1982. The pick guard, electronics, and hardware on it are from a 1975 Strat.

It's kind of a Holy Grail guitar for me. I'm pretty sure I almost bought it new at Dietze Music in Lincoln, NE back in '82!
