Just found this 4” long Cecropia moth caterpillar on one of our dogwoods. The largest moth in North America during its two week long adult stage. (Moth picture from the web). Perhaps we’ll see an adult next May after its ten month cocoon stage. Seeing a Cecropia is supposed to bring good fortune and a future of light after a dark time. We could use that now.IMG_0766.jpeg
