Found this beauty for $2 at a local flea market, two summers ago... One of my best finds ever.

There's a guy in Portland who specalizes in Seiko's he did a good job on a 70's era diver that I had years ago, but no longer have.

Seiko Bell*matic: I think I've spend $1000 trying to keep the alarm function working.

And nice Patek Mr. Rodinal. I guess it´s 33mm or some other now "ladies" size, right?

As gnuyork correctly said, it's 35mm.

I'm aware of the "modern" tastes in watch sizes, but I'm perfectly comfortable with a watch this size.

I think it's always healthy not to be fully "in style".

Anyway, I have thin wrists, so I also wear watches much smaller, like the medium Tank Francaise pictured below (as reference, the strap is 18mm).

I was walking on clouds for a couple of weeks after that find...
Also it runs perfectly and keeps time very well. Lemania movements are very well regarded.

Very nice watches. I curbed my watch bug about 8 or 9 years ago. Cameras and model railroads take the bulk of my allowance. My user watches are both Orients, a blue dial Mako and World Time CFA05001B. I don't even want to start talking about my pocket knives (I have been reducing it by giving some away as birthday gifts).

I was a Seiko watch wearer for the longest time, then about 10 years ago moved to wearing an Oris. This is my second Oris diver (7533p) automatic and still has the proper ETA made movement.

I'm definitely partial to German watches though I appreciate Japanese and Swiss as well.

I think the Max Bill you have is great. I'm thinking the non-numeral, hand-wind white dial is in my future in addition to the one I have. Such a classic and timeless design. 🙂

Thanks Sug. I still think the black design you chose is the best graphically of all their dials, for my taste anyway.
Also, my automatic movement seems to have very little reserve, so I end up winding it every day anyway. The hand-wind movement is definitely all one needs.

Personally, I'd take hand-winding over automatic any day. I don't really know why I feel that way, but at this point, winding my watches in the morning while I prepare my coffee has long become my everyday ritual. You guessed it: I grind beans with a hand-cranker daily. 😉

I am definitely into small, less-known German brands and not much interested in luxury Swiss brands for the most part, but the Speedmaster has been one of the very few exceptions to that preference.

Really some beautiful time pieces on here. A lot look like in new condition/unused. My late wife's Xmas present to me in 1971, was a gold Accutron, with the bullet band. This one I will keep and use for ever.

Two more vintage Chinese watches of 70-80's. But a 1960's Shanghai 1120 with a pie-pan dial is my favorite.
