W/NW : Motorcycles

Larry, Yokohama is often overshadowed by it’s nearby neighbor Tokyo when it comes to being a mecca for photographers. I on the other hand think that Yokohama is a magical city filled with the best opportunities for good photography... Snip!

All the best,
Mike

That's interesting as I often wonder why more people (tourists from overseas mostly) confine themselves to London then York and/or Stratford-upon-Avon. They miss so much and pay dearly for it as well. I've nothing against these places* but there's a lot more to Britain...

Regards, David

*Apart from what they did to Ludgate Circus, sigh.

I am guessing that the guy on the vintage BMW was plenty happy even if he didn’t look it. One of the reasons that I have always enjoyed motorcycling is that it clears all of the useless thoughts from my head. Riding a motorcycle rewards the exercise of mindfulness given the focus required when doing so. Remaining completely alert while riding can actually be incredibly freeing in my experience. As opposed to grumpiness, when I look at Yokosuka Mike’s photo I see a reassuring calmness.

Somebody averaged 135mph on this, and they were back this year trying to up that.
How much adrenaline can a person withstand? Looks a bit sketchy.

I love this thread. I plan on touring North America from May through August on a bike with the only hard event being the Dust to Dawson rally in Dawson City, Yukon on 18 June. I have a couple bikes in storage in STL but a new Goldwing is calling me or perhaps a BMW RT.

At 67, I want a bit of luxury in my life.

That sounds fantastic.
