The Suzuki between the two TZ Yamahas is a rare water cooled TR500 twin from 1974, one of less than thirty examples. When new the type was raced by Australian Jack Findlay and multiple world champion Barry Sheene.

I never tried, Peter, but they did have a reputation! I used to make light work of firing up my 900 desmo twin, but don't think my knees would be up to trying a 441 any more.

Had to sell my 850 Norton Commando just last week, partly because my knees are starting to get a bit iffy. More than a bit. And electric start still seems like giving up to me.

^^^^^Geez, Japanese seem to know how to curate all the good stuff, and there seems a lot of good stuff in Yokahama, Mike.
Beautiful bike, beautifully preserved, not sure why he looks so glum.

Larry, Yokohama is often overshadowed by it’s nearby neighbor Tokyo when it comes to being a mecca for photographers. I on the other hand think that Yokohama is a magical city filled with the best opportunities for good photography.

As to the gruppy looking guy on the vintage motorcycle… maybe he has hemorrhoids!

All the best,
Mike

I nearly pointed to what the great philosophers Flanders and Swann have pointed out in their song of patriotic prejudice but stopped myself in time as it is rude to just about everybody but still very funny; except for the bit about us Welsh which is completely wrong.
