just bought a 1949 Velocette LE Mk1 150cc 6hp top speed 50mph, hand start, water cooled, flat twin engine, shaft drive, right hand gear shift, these were made from 1948-1971, used by british police forces, extremely quiet running should be fun

Oh I didnt know this thread existed. Here's a dump of stuff ive shot in the last year.

My sister on my very modified Ducati Pantah 680 in Wollongong, Australia circa 1991. I loved that motorcycle but ended up crashing into a car on my way to university one morning and damaged it beyond repair (luckily I was repairable).

Lovely shot of Ducati and rider Jonmanjiro. I had a Ducati 450 single back in the 70's, and also bounced off a car or two.My sister on my very modified Ducati Pantah 680 in Wollongong, Australia circa 1991. ^ Because one short ride on what was probably the most viciously vibrating motorcycle
ever made would give cause to reconsider ! I know of what I speak having owned BSA Lightnings and Norton Atlas',86 cubic inch Iron Head Sportsters (and roadtested most other bad old bikes ) Our youthful lusts are best left as such . Peter

Vince, i have no idea yet just got the bike on monday. with a wopping 6HP it is not likely to rip my hands of the handle bars
. no different than riding an old Indian or Harley with a gear shift handle

Now that you mention it, I did go for a ride on the back of a very clean 1969 Ducati 450 single with the intention of buying it. It was probably that short ride that made me realise I was better off sticking with my Pantah 680!

Very cool looking bike, John!
Best motorcycle photo ever is Danny Lyon's "Crossing the Ohio, Louisville, 1966."

I respectfully disagree. I don't think the one of Rollie Free flat out on his Black Lightning has ever been bettered.
