This is a photograph of a quick color sketch in ink that I made of my crazy but talented old girlfriend Eileen back in 1985. Drawn at the San Francisco Broadmoor Hotel on Sutter St.

Thanks for this....unlike many photographers I actually enjoy post processing and think it to be perfectly legitimate (some do not seem to accept post processing even though in an analogue world its perfectly OK.)

In any event I put a bit of effort into post processing as so far as I am concerned all that matters is the final result - not how you got it.

Many of my photos are processed to have quite low saturation and high contrast (I like the look and its become a bit of a trademark of mine I suppose.) Often I will also selectively process - e.g. dodge and burn. Something that seems to be a forgotten art in this digital age. Although I do it digitally of course. You will notice that I also often shoot wide open to minimize depth of field too and this gives a characteristic soft effect to the background.
