Well ya know, I'm about 6'7" myself.. Jorge, could we get a Rangefinder Dating forum going??

Considering the male/female ratio here, if you're a guy looking for a girl I think there might not be much luck to be had at RFF Singles Night.

No, it's that actor from "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly".....whatisname....Eli Wallach?
Bingo. :)

More pictures to come. Not to mention a lot of surprising (to me, anyway) photography banter between me and Mr Wallach, which I think will be interesting to most everyone here.

- Barrett (Yes, I shot Tuco...but he didn't seem to mind)

I love that guy, he always gets great roles. He's probably been in 75 films, none of them crappy. Very envious of your opportunity to shoot the breeze with someone who has so many hollywood stories...where do you start? He's an underrated actor that will be appreciated only after he's gone....bloody shame. Congrats...
Apparently Yul Brynner was a big Leicanaut...anybody got any info on this?
Mike

Actually, American Photo had a spread some years back on Brynner's photographic escapades, on- and off-set, which was quite educational (and yes, he loved his Leicas, as does Ely). Wallach talked with me about that as well. Hell, I didn't know he (Wallach) played Eisenstadt in a movie well over three decades ago. I promised him I was going to catch up with his career by hook or by crook. :)

More to come, soon.

Not sure what he's using here, but in the AP piece there was a color self-portrait with him holding an M3. Great photo, BTW ("The RF tradition goes farther back in time than some realize...").

Funny, I just checked this book out from the library yesterday. Not bad, not bad at all. Not as good as Jeff Bridges widelux book but very interesting.
