Thanks for your nice words. In fact, one of the strongest and most valuable impressions I save from my two trips to Afghanistan is exactly the dignity with which even the poorest of those men manage to stare into your camera. A few more examples can be found here.

Thanks very much! Used a Canon EOS 7 with the "nifty fifty" 50mm EF 1.8 II and scanned it on an Epson V700 after flattening the negatives under some heavy books for about a week.
