Out to Lunch, on Flickr. Cave Monastery in Orhei Vechi, Moldova. May 2010. Epson R-D1 - CV 1.1/50. An Orthodox monk in the
Cave Monastery at Orhei Vechi, Moldova. During the 13th Century monks cut this monastery into a lime stone cliff. It was shut
down during the Soviet era and repopulated by a few monks in 1996. This monk spoke English and told me: "if you have this beauty
around you, who needs a cell phone".

I haven't done weddings since 1997. All commercial advertising now. I was going through some old files and found these old negatives from probably 1995 or so. THis is what my on location bridal portraits looked like back in the day. Hasselblad 500 C/M. Zeiss Hasselblad sonnar180 cf. Kodak t-max 400 in Rodinal 1:50.

I'm not a wedding photographer, but I was a groomsman in my friend's wedding last month. The wedding was nearly cancelled because of PG&E's "Public Safety Power Shutoff", affecting much of Northern California. Luckily, the venue's power was restored one day before the wedding. Here's a portrait of my friend, the groom, getting his boutonnière pinned.

Nikon FM2n, Nikkor-S Auto 55mm f/1.2, Ultrafine Xtreme 400, developed in LegacyPro L110 at 1:31 for 5.5 minutes.
