In 1971 I travelled from Delhi to Varanasi 3rd class in a steam powered train. An experience I laugh about now, arrived totally filthy from the soot and ash that blew in the open windows. First stop hot chai and breakfast, second stop a shower and change of clothing.

Canadian Pacific Tracks beside Little Greenwood Pond at the foot of Borestone Mountain, Near Onawa Maine. On December 20, 1919 two trains collided head on at this spot, just at the curve. 23 were killed and 50 injured.
