It's now the Berkshire subdivision of CSX Railroad.
Norfolk Southern and Amtrak trains will soon operate there as well.
MBTA passenger service between Boston and Albany is also planned.

Many thanks - I think we're at one here insofar as the fear of even going over a level crossing which stretches back to childhood, as well as the fact that a good friend of mine, a train driver has depressingly succumbed to a "jumper" in front of his train.Great shot! Permanently unresolved and fascinating.
As a Brit, it has always amazed me that in other countries passengers are allowed to cross the track to reach the other side. We have footbridges and subways. Having known the effect on an engine driver who hit a suicide, I completely understand why.
