Are there any inconspicuous compact digital cameras with a waist level finder? I'm not talking about a 2 inch screen that tilts up. A simple good old analogue finder or a tiny lcd.

I think the closest you're going to find is one of the little ones that has a flip-out LCD, or the swivel-body Nikons like the S10.
I have a Nikon Coolpix 950 that was one of the original swivel-body models and the design is incredibly useful for waist-level stuff.

I'll second what MelanieC wrote. The swivel Coolpix models are some of the neatest made.

There is one Sony model with a color screen on the top that could be used as a waist-level finder, but I don't remember which one that is.
edit: the R1 actually has one that might work, but there was another with a regular LCD on the back, but a little color one on the top that you could switch to.
