Montalcino was a nice place to visit. It got quite cool and rainy there suddenly after being warm, so we left after a short stroll.
 
I am back to teaching today, so I will post later the (few) remaining images from Pisa, Galgano and from Cortona.
 
At the base of a hill, there is a church (San Galgano Abbey) without a roof, surrounded by vineyards. At the top of the hill, a small abbey (Rotonda at Montesiepi),has the sword that is stuck inside a rock. The story is that the priest (Catholic Saint) who founded the abbey is the one who placed the sword inside the rock.
