Those large square shots bother me..
i find i shoot so carefully, i nail a shoot in very few images.
Most are keepers.. The problem?
Should only use my Rollie!
Oh! i was asked what is my favorite photo taken.
Easy one of my 2 kids, at about age of yours.
Now i am grandfather, many times..
Keep shooting and recording.
Make real prints.
Great to see how much fun, you all had.

I asked questions here so that I could benefit from the replies.
I have no regrets at all about the choice of gear that I took with me.
As someone advised me, use the M9 on days and use the SWC on certain days at certain times.
I had the SWC in a light and small backpack, while the M9 was ready to be used in a small over the shoulder cooler bag that did not show it was used to house the M9. It was a very practical outfit for me.

Robert had an X1 and a Rolleiflex TLR while Simo had a digital Nikon.

It was like this for a week! Still, I loved it. I used an umbrella, and took photos.

The light was soft during the rainy days, which resulted in beautiful colors with the M9. I had to make sure that my M9 stayed dry though.

The resulting images showed me that I made the right choice to get the M9 and to use the 35mm Lux. I was able to immediately see the results after taking photos, and it was a great experience for me to use mainly one camera and one lens for 2.5 weeks.
When I got back home, I took a good look at the M8, and I find it also a great camera. I am using mine for B&W only since I got the M9. It is an awesome pair of cameras.
Still, I want to go back to film camers next.

Yes, I find film more rewarding even though I am not developing film. It makes me take photos more carefully, as I have to anticipate how a certain film type behaves in a given light situation. It is a thrill to play with film and light this way.
Another big factor is the choice of beautiful film cameras. These are not replaceable by digital cameras. It is a feeling of joy to use them (with film).
