I'm trying out my new to me Mamiya Super 23. What a beast. The 100mm f3.5 lens has a bit of a sticky/sluggish shutter due to not being used for years. I have to exercise it a bit with the dark slide in, before removing the dark slide and making an exposure. Once the roll of 120 HP5 is done, I'm hoping to develop it right away to see how the camera works.
Frank,
The camera looks very clean. Will you use it on a tripod or hand-held? I bet that the lens is super sharp.

Hi Raid, this camera is in amazing shape. Bought new by an architect to photograph (architectural) models and buildings, passed on to his friend, who sold it to me. I will need to get the lens CLA'ed though. It came with a 6x7 roll film back (too bad it's not the 6x9) and a ground glass back. I shot the first roll hand-held, but I'll also use a tripod when appropriate.

Finally at home...
Have to do some SOHO work this weekend. I hope I can finish the tax declarations. Terrible!
And no time for shooting!

Good luck with the taxes.

We have our annual county fair happening here in our rural county. DSLR for the many shots of kids and farm animals. i think I'll take the OM-2 and a couple of lenses for film. And most important, a pair of well cushioned Rockports for my feet!!

I'm off to Acadia NP with a Nikon L35AF, loaded with Fuji 160S. This little $5 yard sale find is growing on me. Yeah, uses batteries, but at least they're simple AAs.
Also coming along: Agfa Record I with Delta 100. First roll in this one. Practically unused example that my dad picked up for me in Germany.

my cameras stay idle this weekend, just like week ago. other things todo, such as sorting and making albums from last summer photos. but next weekend, trip to Tallinn. in camera bag is probably Nikon FE, one or two Nikkors and few rolls of TMax 100, personal favorite for B&W photography

Today, my day was free of photography, but tomorrow I hope to get more out of the day with respect to using my gear for some street photography and family photos. My kids grew one week older last week!

It is weekend time again. What are your plans for this weekend, and is photography part of what you will be doing?
I know for sure that I need to pack stuff up for moving a week later.

Stay away from "window shopping", David!
Have a good trip.

Rain in the forecast all weekend. I'll probably process some 4x5 negatives I've needed to do for a couple of weeks. Do some scanning. Stay dry!

Thanks Raid, I had intended to go 'just digital' on this trip, but have had a rethink - as just lately I'm a little disillusioned with the dynamic range issue!. The M2 will have the usual HP5+, and tomorrow morning I shall go to town for some rolls of colour print film for the Konica FT1. I know from previous trips that low autumn sun will make for high contrast among the streets and architecture, so am a bit unsure which film would tackle this the best - any ideas - from yourself or others welcomedStay away from "window shopping", David!

I like using Reala with a vintage lens for contrast balance. The colors come out with a pastel rendering that I find very beautiful. For B&W I would use Ilford XP2 Super or Tri-X.

Digital for me, because I'll be copying pages from Victorian catalogues and I can just chimp to know they're OK.

It is about to be weekend again.
I have in my camera bag a Hexar RF with a 5cm 1.5 Summarit, plus a Leica M6 with a Summilux 35mm 1.4. Most likely, I will make a trip to the beaches.
What are you up to?
