Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

Prices are a bit lower now with a more favorable exchange rate, so I have some in my freezer. If I can afford to get more, I will; else I can use from Kodak's BW400CN. That "name" doesn't exactly roll trippingly from the tongue but

XP2 sounds and looks better. And it rhymes with my new Olympus E-P2!

Well, it is again Friday! It is that time of the week when people start dreaming about the weekend. What are you planning for this weekend? Have you packed your camera bag?

I'm back from the cottage where I had a lot of fun with the Nikkor 20mm lens. I usaed a red filter on a few shots which included fluffy white clouds and blue sky.

Tomorrow my family and I are leaving for 5 days in and around Halifax, Nova Scotia. I decided to take an OM4 with 28 and 50mm lenses, and a CL with 21 and 40mm lenses. That should cover all my photographic needs without being too heavy to carry while walking around.

Hi Frank,
You seem to be having a good time with the family and with SLR equipment. It is good to remember all the good lenses that we have stashed away from the times before we started using RF lenses.

I don't have a Nikkor 20mm, but my 24mm Nikkor is a great lens.

My 28 Nikkor 2.8 is not too shabby either.
Might bring my SLR out for a spin as well this weekend. My FE2 have been negelcted a little bit recently.

Leica M8.2 with VC 28mm f/2 Ultron. I'll be photographing in Brooklyn with fellow RFF-er Calzone.

Congrats on the new M8.2. I'm kinda stoked for you.

Darren will be joining us. Even though Darren is from California, he has attended two NYC Meet-Ups; and now he is a regular.

I'll be shooting a Ti Wetzlar M6 that has a TA Rapidwinder, TA Rapidgrip and a TA Softy, with a 28/3.5 chrome Canon/Serenar. This is my newest "Street Machine." Tom kinda made my M6 into a weapon. Kinda thuggy: half brass knuckles; half blackjack.

This weekend I'll be shooting the MotoGP motorcycle race at Laguna Seca. I love shooting bikes and these guys are the best, and on my favorite track to boot. It's a yearly tradition now.

If anyone else is going watch out for traffic, the Garlic Festival is on so traffic should be wildly bad.

I've stepped over to the ***EVIL SLR LAND*** and will be fondling my new precious F100 over the weekend. Haven't decided yet if I'll feed it with Portra 160NC or APX100.

We will have Tropical Storm Bonnie arriving to the Gulf of Mexico. If it stays on its projected path, it will hit Louisina and it may have oil with the rain and wind. Pensacola is now located at the rim of the projected path.

Photos of the storm?
My Lux may get sprayed with some of that BP oil.

Saturday: 1 roll of Sensia in my Bessa R to test it after the check just done (rangefinder and shutter control).
Sunday: editing my wife's photo made in Arles (10 rolls) in order to organize a proper album. This include some cropping to adjust the composition...I like to make my wife's editor...more difficult to edit my own work...

The good news: It is still weekend!
I used the 75 Lux yesterday at the beach. I took some photos of sea oats and of my kids.

Taking photos at a company soccer tournament Saturday and Sunday. One of the increasingly rare times I'm going to a digital SLR; I need all the zoom and range I can get - and I want to be able to shoot off 200 or so shots without worrying about cost.

I'll probably take either a rangefinder or TLR for non-field shots during the day.
