Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

I'm off to Brussels with two new toys:
VC Nokton 50 1.5 for my Rollei 35rf
Freshly CLA'd Rolleiflex 2.8c

I'm so excited to have them both that I'm sure it will be difficult to choose, so I'm thinking that I'll shoot the Rolleiflex in the day and the RF in the evening.

Have a great weekend!
Rob

What's up during this weekend?

I have a cold, but I want to go out and take photos.

Did you get snow, Raid? Someplace in Florida got snow, so we have snow cover in 49 states. Would have been 50 if it had snowed on top of those volcanoes in Hawaii.

Bill,
No snow so far in Pensacola, but if there is snow tomorrow with driving distance, then I will drive my family there. The kids want to build a snowman.

Rob,

I have the 2.8D with the Planar taking lens. The camera is really awesome. Have fun in Brussels. I recall crazy driving methods in the streets of Brussles.

Hi Raid,

We took the train, I too have driven in Brussels and prefer to avoid it

Unfortunately we had a lot of snow and wind, not great weather for photos, but I did get a few good ones. Here is one of each per new toy. First the Rolleiflex 2.8c (square, obviously) then Nokton 50 1.5 on the Rollei 35RF.

Hi Rob,
Sometimes it is best simply to enjoy the trip and to put photography aside. There is more to life than photography! I need to remind myself too.

Well, it is weekend time again, and with the improved weather situation, there is maybe some photography for me this weekend.

I will use the Pentax 43mm 1.9 RF lens to give this beautiful lens the chance to show me what it can deliver.

What are your plans for photography this weekend?

Hi Raid,

Certainly, photography for me is just a hobby, and having good pics is more the icing on the cake than the point. Brussels was fun for other reasons. This weekend we have a "Murder Party". A friend is having his birthday party as a kind of live mystery Clue (Cluedo in most of Europe) game. I'm taking along the Rolleiflex and tripod to take portraits of "the usual suspects" (a.k.a. my friends) in 1930s period costume. The game should be great fun!

Have a great weekend,
Rob

This sounds like a very interesting and fun event, Rob. Using a TLR with flash will be very formal. Post your results here when you get the film developed and scanned.

Testing an OM2

Testing an OM2

An OM2 came in the mail yesterday and I have it loaded with BW400CN to give it a test drive. Meter seems to check out OK. So, I'm off. Fortunately there's a Costco less than a mile away, so I'll have developed and scanned film to play with on the 'puter this evening.

Have fun!

Rem

Although technically not the weekend, this Monday and Tuesday I have some klave off work and I'm taking what will probably be my penultimate trip for the Impression MK stuff I have spent the past year working on. Scary thinking about the time and energy I have put into this project; I can so get get why Gene Smith became so obsessed with his Pitssburgh Project!

Doing a studio test shoot with the Zeiss Super Ikonta BX (533/16) w/Carl Zeiss Jena 8cm f2.8 Tessar. that just purchased. Figure on shooting a roll each of Reala, Across, Porta160VC, Pan F and Extachcrome EPP 100

I am about to leave our home, taking with me two "normal" lenses.
Pentax 43mm 1.9 and CZJ 50mm 1.5.

Life is good.

I am taking a digital P&S camera in a few minutes for the annual Father and Daughter Dance at their school. Wish me luck!

Hi Raid, I hope your dancing shoes served you well yesterday. I would love to see some shots from the CZJ some time. Your top 12 gallery is great, I love the light in the Lucca photo.

The Murder Party was unbelievably fun! I had no idea my friends could act so well, and it was like watching and acting in a play all at once. I fully recommend it!

I was not the murderer but I had many convinced that I was, and my role was just a common thug with correspondingly but realistic lack of command of French.

The films are developed but they curled when drying. They look like they have potential but are under a very heavy book until I scan them tomorrow. I'll try to get them onto Flickr tomorrow and post a link here.

I hope everyone else had a great weekend!

It is weekend again, and I was out of town to attend a medical conference in San Antonio. I took with me the tiny Minox GT in my pocket, and I took severel photos there. Nothing special, but as I was on the 8th floor in the hotel, I had an interesting "view down".

What were/are you up to?

Today, I plan to hand a camera, lens, and a roll of Tri-X 400 to my son, and then walk him through the whole process from attaching the lens to the camera through hanging the exposed negatives up to dry. I am hoping we'll have some fun.

Spent yesterday morning doing a studio test shoot with the Zeiss Super Ikonta BX (533/16) w/Carl Zeiss Jena 8cm f2.8 Tessar. that I purchased a couple of weeks back. Shoot a roll of Reala, Across, Porta160VC, Pan F and Extachcrome EPP 100. Should get the negs back on Wed or Thu.

Today I'm working on processing and editing the bulb flash multiple exposure shots I took the week before last with my Bessa-I.
