Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

It is weekend again, and it is raining in Pensacola, Florida.
I used the Olympus EP-2 yesterday for photos taken from the kitchen window of rain and plants. The Zeiss 85mm 1.4 did well.

I also used in the late afternoon the Rolleiflex 2.8D TLR for a few family photos.

What are you doing this weekend?

Try the window approach. There has to be something that can be photographed from one of the windows in your home.

Yesterday went railfanning in Salisbury along the wye at the S line split. Met an employee of the NS Railroad shooting for the 2012 calender. Later we met back up in Thomasville & shot 2 Amtrak's & 4 Norfolk Southern units. NS employees only are eligible to shoot for the calender. The 12 picked get recognition & $500. I thought that was cool. I used my Canon T70 on a monopod with 400asa film & Canon 50/1.8. The T70 is an excellent for railfaning with the built in motor drive.
 
Other than photographing a friend's music gig in Red Hook (with my little Nikon P6000), I'm mainly concentrating on the oodles of rolls of film I shot over the last several weeks, both while in Seattle and on a paying gig when I got back. The gig shots are done and delivered (priorities, you know), and I finished the digital contacts of the Seattle rolls last week; now I need to go over the contacts for selects to make big scans of. A bit of a working weekend as well, but I'll have either the P6000 or Contax Tvs close at hand when I'm out and about.

Ah, haven't done any of that in a while. Only rail-related thing I managed lately was in Seattle, where by sheer luck I caught a BNSF freight (single engine, still in BN black-on-green paint) rolling smartly through town.

still no new grandcvhild, so we are back home for the wait. i made a few shots today and plan to start developing some vacation ap 400 tonight. since it's high summer, and my d-76 1+1 maintains a temperature of 74F, i'm going to soup differently tonight: 8:15 at 74F rather than my standard 9:75 at 68F.

I've been testing the Olympus 35SP I got last week..I developed a roll of APX 100 that I ran through the Spotmatic a year ago and happen to run through the 35Sp last week...
One roll two cameras...hmmmm...I normally don't leave the leader out on an exposed roll...somehow I did on this roll...
 
This should be a good weekend for photography for me.

I'm expecting a lot of rain and not much by way of photo ops - but on the bright side my darkroom is nearly complete! All I need is a 15W bulb for my safelight and I can start printing my own B&W. I've never printed before, but I have a big box of cheap Foma paper that I pan to unleash some trial and error on. 😉

PS: If the forecast is wrong, then I'm off on the bicycle for some long rides instead with the Rollei 35S in my pocket.

I think up to six are attending.
The usual mix of shots , chat ,coffee ,camera shops and maybe a beer.
