Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

It's a Rolleiflex weekend for me. I bought 5 rolls of Tri-X, and I've already shot through two of them. Using a TLR is kind of a refreshing change after using rangefinders and SLRs so regularly.

My latest Rollei has the 2.8 Xenotar lens, my last Rollei had the 2.8 Opton, I'm curious to see if there is a noticeable difference between the two.

It is weekend again!
We have a cold weekend here in Pensacola. A cold front from Canada is making the low temperatures fall to sub-freezing at night.

I may get some nice color photos in such weather. Colors are intense.

What are you up to?

I started the weekend with a few shots with the M6 and 50/2 rigid Summicron at a bakery. The sun is shining, and the day is still there to enjoy. I was 32F in the morning, but now we are in the mid 50's.

Today, I walked my routine 5 miles even though it is cold and windy. Been doing that now that I have finally gotten off my backsides and started back to taking care of my own health...By Monday morning will have lost 5 pounds with only 15 more to go...

I took the Nikkormat last time and the R4 before that. Today, the M3 was ready but when I walked across the bridge where the body of a murdered 17-year old was found in the creek at our golf course, I noticed the memorial flowers were gone and it was just not something which I wanted to shoot even one frame. So, I shot none. Finished my walk and we went out to a Chinese restaurant for an early dinner.

Lighting a fire tonight, as usual, and will be watching Moneyball on DVD. Tomorrow I will ride the bike and try to get something interesting with it as a prop.

Walked into town today, got a few architectural shots of St.John church and our old city hall. Couldn't work up the guts to do some street photography, but hopefully got a good shot of a cat waiting in front of a door. I hope it didn't mind...

Hopefully I get a chance to fill up the roll tomorrow.
There's an old-timer car show not to far away.

Tomorrow I will be developing the first roll of film from my Rolleiflex.

Seller loaded Adox CHM400 for me and I want to develop in either Rodinal or D76, because that is what I have at hand. Anybody that can post or PM a good development scheme? DigitalTruth only lists schemes for 135, not 120...

EDIT: Next roll will be a 06/88 expired roll of Agfachrome 1000RS, rated @200

Tried to shoot last night in subfreezing cold and wind, had to pack in.

Rick, I hear you regarding the need for courage when shooting street photos. Last night I had given up but still had camera in hand when I passed a group of teenagers.

"HEY! Did you just take a picture of us?!"

"No I did NOT!"

F--ckn punks.

Randy

Randy, luckily it's not THAT bad. I could easily have snapped a few on the crowded streets, pretending to aim at the buildings in the background.
I just don't feel comfortable trying to single out a subject in the crowd, especially when they've noticed you.

I've read some of those "Did you just take my picture" topics here....that doesn't exactly fill me with confidence either ;)

Tomorrow I'll just go to the petting zoo. Get some portraits of the goats or something.

An amazing blue sky at -4 C° here today. Will finish a 135 Fujicolor C200, an 120 Delta 100 and a 135 HP5+ @1600. That means: Out with three bodies, only few shots left.

hope to finish my last roll of hp5 today, and soup it tonight. sure do need to order some more hp5. i do have a couple of rolls of bw400cn as film backup ...

We will have 60F here in Pensacola, Florida today. The sky is blue and the sun is there.

finished the last roll of hp5. will soup it tonight. loaded the konica S III with some fuji 400 color. the S has been begging for an outing here lately ... :)
beautiful here, too: crystalline blue, high of 50F or so ...

The weather is not that great right now in Pensacola, but it is Friday, and we will have tomorrow weekend. There may be some nice images with fog planned.

What will you be up to?

hoping to go hunting, but weather is looking warm and thunder-ish. if i go, i'll take a cam. if i don't go, i'll take a cam somewhere else., maybe the ol' konica S III.
now, if that order of hp5 will get here ...

Rain. Today. Tonight. Tomorrow.

Looks like time to file, organize my office and make it look like one. After that, I need to go through my bags and make sure everything is cleaned and ready for use with plenty of film.

Perhaps, Sunday may be a picnic trip somewhere if it doesn't rain. Time to finish up a roll of Portra 400 inside the M3 somewhere.
