Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

It's not horribly cold here today, 16 degrees or so, but I still opted for indoor activities. I spent the day prepping negatives and making Van Dyke Brown prints for an ongoing project. Lots of fun, some successes, some that need to be revisited.

So sad, Paul. Hang in there.I once attended a conference on Aging (in Maryland), and in the session on Alzheimers Disease, they researchers said that it is the family of the person having this disease suffer and not the person having the disease.

Since the forecast is for crappy rainy/snowy weather and high chance of black ice on the roads, I'll stay home and process film and watch movies about photography

The winter storm in the NE of the USA will keep people there quite busy with things that must be taken care of. Stay warm.

I'm indoors this weekend. Working on a new photo wall for my living room. Lots of black and whites of places we've been, people we've met, mostly in 12 x 18".

It's been a wonderful process of selection, editing, printing, and framing. And it's made me realize once again how special physical prints are in this mostly virtual world.

BTW, relatively nice weather here in Chicago.

The building where I have my studio has been sold, so I'm in the process of clearing out a bunch of stuff there in anticipation of moving back to a MUCH smaller space in my home. Don't want to do this, but it's getting harder to find affordable space in my area. It'll be fine, once I jettison most of the excess.

It is Friday in the USA, and we have a beautiful day here in Pensacola. I will maybe use my SWC for some snapshots locally.

What are your plans for this weekend?

I wasplanning a series about winter in my town but this year it seems we have no real winter! So, no idea for next weekend...

I'm visiting my daughter in Charleston for the weekend. Last night I packed my MM kit to bring along, but this morning as we left decided on just the GR. Nice to travel light, and with that little wonder. So just some casual walkabout shooting as we hang out together.

Wandering about with a pal with our Leica MP cameras as we try out/road test a friend's radioactive glass Leica 50mm f2 Summicron lens and my LTM Nikkor lenses.

Lately, I seem to be spending more time on two wheels than shooting! I do have a family luncheon tomorrow though. I think I will dust off the X100.

Wandering with my photo club in the city over from ours exploring the historic downtown. Should be a good time and Sunday is supposed to be even nicer.

It slipped my mind to post the weekly announcement on what we all are doing during the weekend!

I used the Canon 85mm/1.5 on my M9 and had some fun with it all.
What did you do last weekend?

I used my Panasonic 25mm 1.4 with M 4/3 camera today at two basketball games. The images came out sharp with AF. Yesterday, I used the M8 and M9 with Canon FD 17mm and Canon 85/1.5 at Pensacola Beach.
