Well behaved 35 lens for daylight?

IMHO from my minimal experiences
I use Leica Cron 35 V4, CZ Biogon 35 F2 ZM , Canon LTM 35 F1.8 and Voigtlander Color Skopar 35 F2.5 M mount

the one i finally use the most on street on daylight, even bright daylight against the harsh direct source of light ( i love doing it)

Voigt Color Skopar 35 mm F2.5

but that just me

MS Optical 35/3.5 Perar is my first choice. It is almost the smallest lens I own but scores much higher.

CV Color Skopar 35/2.5 is my hands down favorite if I am not worried about size. Price is certainly right and the image quality is great.
 
I have the Color Skopar 35/2.5 and find it excellent. I've been planning to acquire a Summaron M 35/2.8 as well, perhaps later in the yer, for its lower contrast and other differences in rendering qualities.

having owned the 35/2 biogon, I would say that. unquestionably. I decided to keep 1 lens between it and the planar, and the planar won due to focal length. but the biogon at f4 is breathtaking in terms of fine detail resolution.

Roger, I think that old lens variability is one of the reasons I am swaying towards a new lens, as much as a Summaron sounds enticing. Getting a bit exhausted by all the "repair this, fix that" bills.

I wish I could afford a pile of lenses as well, but I make do with my very nice Canon 35 f2. It, along with the slightly later 50 f1.4, were among the last of Canon's RF lenses, and reputed to be the best glass money could buy in 1960. I have never done much with this lens, so I don't have much to back up the praise Peter Dechert heaped on it. I just got my old M2 back into good working order; I guess it's time to try it out.
