Well Something Happened

Thanks so much veryone for letting me share. Because Nicole wants to keep this quiet for at least another week before some tests, I can't tell anyone here, and I'm bursting at the seams!
 
Living our lives backwards! 🙂 That's what I call it. My wife and I got married 10 years ago when I was 51 and she 41. Then, 5 years later we decided to adopt a little girl from China. She's now almost 7 years old and I can easily testify that it was the smartest thing I've done... ever. Having a child after "the hump" is really wonderful. Keeps you young... and on your toes!

Congratulations Keith (and to your wife as well!). Enjoy... it's LIFE, BIG TIME!! 🙂
 
Now you can tell your wife that all the photography stuff that you "invested on" will come to a real use soon 😉

The next best thing after the baby is looking at his/her pictures again when they're older. Ah man! tear-jerker for sure.

Oh, where are my manners, CONGRATULATIONS, Nicole and Keith! 😀
 
Thank so much Jamie and Will. I apreciate your comments. Nicole and I are getting in gear and getting very excited.

I was on the subway one afternoon many years ago, I was in my 20s then. Across from me sat a man in his mid 50's with his son, about 5, sitting on his lap. They looked so comfortable together. I remember thinking that if I ever have kids, that's when I want them, when I know who I am and am sure of what I can give. I guess in many ways, life really does give you what you want - and what you need.
