That was a great concert film. I saw it at least 23 years ago.

Today is blues day for some reason - Big Bill Broonzy, Mississippi Fred McDowell, John Hammond, etc.. Maybe 'cause it's gonna rain today and I'm stuck at the computer.

The local rock radio station is plying songs from the new Rolling Stones album. There's one called Neo-Con that isn't going to be too popular with any US President Bush supporters.

I had an AC/DC CD in my car's changer for while. I do want to find a good Hendrix CD to throw in there everyonce in a while.

Now, at work listening to another boring conference call on the squakbox; before that, jazz on the radio (WDCB, from College of Dupage, western suburbs of Chicago).
Last night working late at home - Mellencamp (my wife's fave), Devo (she left the room when I put that on), Talking Heads, Mahler #4 (not all), Count Basie. All on vinyl via vacuum tubes and horns - of course.

"Electric Ladyland" would be the answer. That or "Axis Bold as Love."

And I have Take Five somewhere![]()
Take Five, my intro to Brubeck. He almost lost me with his Brandenburg Gate album. It was almost a year from the time I first played it to the second time. Then the third, fourth, and the next thing you know, I really got to like that album. I think his only real bomb was his Japan album. It was just too predictable.
Also surprised nobody likes Hiroshima. Not many people can really sing jazz, to my tastes at least. They can. So could the original Ohio Players.

What I am listening to right now is:
"Invisible Ink" from Aimee Manns album "Lost In Space"
Which will be followed by "The Moth",and "Its Not" from the same album.
Then, brushing away a tear ,I shall switch on Tv and pick up on a re-run of the Dalziel and Pascoe cops series.
Aimee is great though.
