Beethoven Soantas Brendel, 1960s recordings, op 106 and 111 and then two early sonatas. Richter also played the early sonatas so intensely and seemed never to play the set of anything. Two pianists who had a fanatical following for their live performances.
New (to me), but I've had Wu-gazi's 13 Chambers on heavy rotation right now and I'm apparently 8 years late on this mash-up of Fugazi and Wutang (I'm old, so it's OK). Brilliant stuff to say the least since I'm not a fan of Fugazi.
The gifted young Dutch organist, Gert van Hoef, improvising on the spectacular (and largest pipe organ in the UK) Willis organ in Liverpool Cathedral. An immense 200 stop, 5 manual organ with 10,268 pipes. Assisted by the cathedral organist himself, he's having a whale of a time!
“Blue and Lonesome” album by the Rolling Stones. Double LP, three tracks per side. At times it sounds like it was recorded in mono, as the sound harkens back to a 1950’s sound.
