What are you listening to at the moment?

Once I was heavily into classical music (still love it just not obsessed) and Shostakovich was one of my obsessions. I had the great joy of watching/hearing Mstislav Rostropovich conduct several Shostakovich pieces with the National Symphony Orchestra. And, today, for the life of me I cannot remember the symphony. But I can remember the awful looking tie I was wearing that night.

As to current listening--still in a Lizz Wright groove. Just finished listening to "The Orchard".

Joe Cocker - Live
Recorded live Oct 5, 1989 at Memorial Auditorium, Lowell, Massachusetts

When they introduce him as "the one and only Joe Cocker" I think to myself you can say "the one and only" about a lot of people but it really does fit Joe Cocker perfectly.

All the best,
Mike
