Silhouettes - Avicii

I love dance music. Makes me happy, makes me want to dance, helps me forget the drudge of many current moments in this pandemic misery ...
I so look forward to going to another electronica dance concert later this year or next, when it is safe enough to do so!!! :D

Willie and Leon - One for the Road

Willie Nelson and Leon Russell singing 20 old standards. An odd but wonderful collection of songs like "Heartbreak Hotel", "Don't Fence Me In", "You Are My Sunshine", "Am I Blue", "Stormy Weather" and "One For My Baby and One More for the Road". The LP was originally released in 1979 and rereleased in 2008 on CD.

These two guys sound great together.

All the best,
Mike

As I write, heavy rain on the roof! After months of drought, it's a beautiful sound. But other than that, today, Jessye Norman performing Richard Strauss' Four Last Songs. That's the CD I want with me if I'm ever stranded on a desert island.

Master classes on YouTube with Andras Schiff: such a humble knowledgeable musician, and a fine, and amusing teacher.

Reminds me of Czerny - it’s not a compliment.

Too many notes / fingers; too busy.

I don’t want to hear notes of the piano: I want a landscape.

I don’t want mechanical sounds of the piano.

Orchestrate the phrases.

You played the same with the repeat (?)

Save the ornament for the repeat.

[at Julliard] I know this is democratic country, but not all notes are equal.

No Rubato here. Three against two, the rubato is written.

Pedal with your fingers here, not the foot.

These are not my accents: they’re Schubert’s!

What key is this now?

With Schubert the return to the dominant is not happy: it’s even worse.

etc.
