What are you listening to at the moment?

Gilbert O'Sullivan - Alone Again (Naturally) - 1972

Followed by...

Richard Carpenter - The Warsaw Concerto - 1974 (with Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra)

I guess I'm in a certain kind of mood.

All the best,
Mike

Years ago i watched a movie; 'Free Money', who's in it? how about Brando, Charles and Martin Sheen and beautiful Mira Sorvino (Harvard educated and speaks fluent Chinese....maybe that's why she got to be in 'Replacement Killer' opposites Chow Yun-fat)

this is Brando's last starring movie (he died in 2004, he was 75 in 'Free Money')

i'm surprised that seemed not many people know this movie...it's quite an interesting movie, and was directed by a Canadian director...

Same here, the song was written by...Lynne, Harrison, Orbison and Bob Dylan! the Traveling Wilburys

and they sang together here...'Handle with Care'...oh yeah...i forgot Tom Petty ( RIP );

This will get lost in the thread, but I'm listening to the ambient album All Roads Lead Home, the last album produced by Cesar Alexandre of Mount Shrine before his passing over a year ago. Cesar was a prolific composer of electronic music, utilizing samples, computer programs and synths. He created dark ambient music under the name Mount Shrine, and vaporwave under the name Lindsheaven Virtual Plaza. Sadly, he passed from coronavirus in early 2021. RIP Cesar.

Not listening to anything, but the slow movement of Max Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 is going through my head -- maybe the most beautiful violin music ever. I'll be hearing it played this coming Sunday by Itzhak Perlman and the Boston Symphony, at the Tanglewood Festival. A lovely venue for music.

As for what I listen to, classical and opera pretty much exclusively.
