I have morphed into a wide angle guy. I got the original trio when I bought my XP1 and of all the pictures I've taken it seems the 18 is what I do best with. Certainly the 35/1.4 is the better picture quality lens but the 18 is what is on most of the time. I just got a Touit 12mm that might change all that.

I need to add the Fujinon 16-55mm f/2.8 to my list of favorites.

The 23 and 56 lenses are my faves. I also have the 18-55, which is a perfectly competent lens, but I'm mostly shooting formal portraits and environmental portraits with my system, so the fast primes are much better at that than the zoom. I just got the 14 for travel, so we'll see how well that works out. I have a few shots in mind on my next trip where it will be invaluable.

Traveling again after for the first time since 2013.
Have to say... The f1.4/35mm is still the favorite.
Nit the fastest to focus but .... It's special in rendering and looks beautiful at wide open

An upgraded 18/2 would be wonderful. I like mine as well and it has a nice rendering, but for certain types of shots the corner softness can be a problem.

Aside from a couple of the tele zooms I have all of the Fuji lenses except the 16 and 60 which I owned but sold. I just got home from an intensive 30 day trip where I shot pictures every day. My favorite lens is currently the 32mm Zeiss.

I've owned/used the following lenses on the X-Pro 1, X-Pro 2, & X-T1:
10-24mm
14mm (SOLD)
16mm
18mm (SOLD)
23mm
35mm
56mm

55-200mm
Other than the 14 and 18mms, I've kept most everything I've acquired in my Fuji kit...and honestly, the only reason the 14 and 18s got the boot were because the 10-24mm overlapped their focal lengths, and once I acquired the 16mm for my high speed wide needs, the 14 & 18mm started to feel a little "pointless." I will admit the 18mm was the WEAKEST of the entire bunch of lenses listed above optically IMO.
Of the bunch, the one that I have always felt a special connection to was the 35mm 1.4. It's ALWAYS in my bag, and has never let me down. Optically, it's simply an amazing, "never bad" lens under every shooting situation I've thrown at it. The bokeh, sharpness, and microcontrast are simply incredible on my copy. I don't think I've EVER used a 50mm (or equiv) lens as good for the price. Yes, my 50 Lux ASPH is still better. But the Fuji 35 is like 1/5 the cost whilst being 95% as good, plus the Fuji also manages flare better, has autofocus, and hasn't needed nearly the amount of upkeep the Leica requires. And the 35mm for damn sure beat the Canon 50L that I don't own anymore; the 35 is truly an impressive piece of glass, especially considering it AND my X-Pro 2 weigh about as much as the 50L does on it's own!
Other standouts for me include the 23mm and 16mm, both are nice and sharp, and offer a nice 3D "pop" to them that I find pleasing. Both the 16mm and 23mm go from usably sharp wide open to SHARP between f/5.6 and f/11. My preferred range for both are f/2-f/4. I don't think that it's coincidental I use them and the 35mm most often. Another big selling point for the 16 and 23 are the ergonomics, I just LOVE the pull to focus ring with distance scales.

The 35/1.4 gets a lot of praise and with good cause but my favorite of the bunch that I have is the 18. I'm sure that the 16 will out perform but I like the size. I'm also interested in the 27.

Over the past few years, I've had the 14/2.8; 18/2; 27/2.8; 35/1.4; 35/2; 60/2.4; 10-24; 18-55; and 55-200. I can't say I've had a favorite. They all have their special niche uses and when used for that purpose, I think they all shine. I currently have the 14, 27, 35/2, and 18-55. And I'm planning on re-buying the 55-200 (Anyone have one they want to sell?) I use the 14 when I want to photograph a dense amount of information up close, like foliage or deep inside a street crowd. The 27 for all-round lightweight small every day carry. The 35/2 for streets when I'm feeling a bit shy and want some separation from the crowd. The 18-55 is a great do-it-all on family outings or around the house with the kid and dog. The 55-200 is great for compressing landscapes and seascapes.

When I shot film in Leica rangefinders, I used three focal lengths more than any other--50mm, 35mm and 21mm. The 50 and the 35 probably accounted for 80-85% of my use with the rest done by the 21mm. Over the years, I owned a couple of 90mm lenses--a Summicron and an Elmar-C--and I cannot recall ever making a single photograph of any value with either of these lenses. Lenses longer than 50mm (or 50mm equivalent) never seemed to work well for me on non-SLR cameras.
After having a bit more experience with more Fuji lenses, I would have to amend my original favorites to be the current Fuji equivalents of those lenses I used with my Leicas. Those being the Fuji 35/1.4, 23/1.4 and 14/2.8.
I would have to add that I also use the X100S an awful lot. It's an outstanding little camera and although its built-in 23/2 lens is not as outstanding as the 23/1.4, the camera/lens combination has to rank on my favorites list.

I augment these XF lenses with numerous Nikon, Contax/Yashica, Takumar M42 manual focus lenses. I'd rate all three that I own very highly. The 90mm f2 hasn't had much mention here but it's a great lens which provides me with some length and a wide aperture in a compact passage. It's mainly used for portraits and landscapes. My XE2's autofocus remains too slow for sports but that's covered by my D700 with 300mmf4.

It was a tough choice between my 14, 56 and the 18-55 zoom but if I only take one lens with me, it's the least glamorous of the trio, the nicely sized and balanced zoom.
By that criteria I guess the 18-55 is MY favorite. It's the workhorse of the lineup.

Nope, and don't think I will. I'm over it. The X-Pro2 is now a fixed lens 50mm camera for me. I'm not bothering with other lenses.
Haha, I guess times have changed since I have the 35mm, the 50mm, the 16-55mm zoom, and the 50-230mm zoom.
I still use 35mm the most. But that 50mm is nice! The 16-55mm is a great upgrade to the kit zoom and comes in handy for traveling... especially for landscapes.

I brought a 60mm in again last week.
The XT1 body gives it a new lease.
Focus is much more accurate and much faster in good light. (Still hunts a lot in poor light)
Image Quality is as good as ever. Beautiful images.

just couldn't get this lens to work reliably. hopefully the new one is released soon, but my adapted Nikon AI lens works well for now.

55-200, staggeringly great for what it is.
