Nikon D200 - because it was cheap secondhand :)
it currently is mostly attached to a Nikkor AI 50/1.4 which owes me nowt (had to strip and clean it though) and works very nicely indeed :)

Pentax K7, small, well built, with tiny, awesome lenses. I just bought the 15mm Limited, it feels like a proper lens, no plastic.

I ran a similar poll and found the same thing (different respondents, though). I wondered the same thing about the prevalence of Nikon shooters among RF users. One theory, which seemed plausible, is that RF users might have been more likely to have been turned off by Canon's lens-mount switch in the 80's. When I was in college in the dim and distant past there were two premium marques on campus for 35mm SLRs: Nikon and Leica. That's where I formed my idea of what great gear should be. I owned a Canon digi-Rebel back in 2002 and a 5D until about two years ago. But I used them (or tried to use them) with Nikon and Leica legacy glass. I had two Canon lenses, a 50/1.4 and a 35/2 and I never went beyond them in terms of system glass. I never got along with either camera and when the D3 came out I got one and I never looked back.

The good thing about Canon is that its lens mount allows me to use any lens from any maker from any era that I want via adapters. I don't own any Canon glass anymore.

I started on Minolta, but went over to Canon in the late 80's with the EOS system. Have been happy with most of Canon for close to 25 years. I really like most of their glass as a whole, more so then equivalent in Nikon (in most cases). I've used various Nikons at work and depending on the make and model, Nikon has made slightly better over all camera's, but not always and again I like the glass more then Nikkon 9 times out of 10.

Tried out the micro 4/3rds and hated, really really hated it. Will not do that again. I even tried out the Leica M8.2, and didn't like it either. I'm not included to try or with the M9 at this point, I'd rather get newer Canon.

I no longer shoot digital, and didn't for long when I did, but my Nikon D50 made wonderful images. Always felt just right in my hands too. Nice camera.

I have been quite happy with a Nikon, it does what I want it to. I have tried others but prefer the way Nikons feel in my hand, they are all good in various ways anyway. I think if I wanted to blow a load on nice primes I would be tempted by a Pentax, they do make some nice primes. However I tend to go for one or two lenses per camera, with my DSLr's it has been a reasonable zoom and a prime, I won't use any more than that I did at one point have a load of lenses for them and they just sat there being unused.

Olympus. Currently an E-30, which I use mostly for telephoto and the occasional macro. I've got a standard and a tele zoom for it, plus my old OM primes via an adapter.

Still, I'm primarily an RF shooter.

Pentax k7, my first proper camera was a Pentax, so I have a little affection for the brand, also, backwards compatibilty is amazing, I use an old 50mm, manual focus lens from Pentax, the aperture is recorded on the EXIF, pretty impressive I think.
Pentax also make nice primes, brand new, made out of metal, for a reasonable price too.

I trusted Sony a900 for my only dSLR.. But I sold it along with the rest of the equipment not so long ago since the more I use it the more I feel it is cumbersome..

Two Mfrs.

Two Mfrs.

Olympus E400.
Very compact, 4/3. Last Olympus with the highest MP kodak sensor (10mp). Sold only in Europe. Great color rendition. Too sad that Olympus switched to Panasonic sensors.

Fuji S5 Pro.
Fuji sensor base on a Nikon D200 body. Uses Nikon glass. Has extended Dynamic Range by 2 stops over it's counterparts, either Nikon or Canon. Great flesh tones, with lots of control on color rendition.

The Olympus is a sweet carry camera and was Oly's smallest DSLR at the time of it's intro. The Oly is easily 2/3 the size of the Fuji, which is similar to the D200 Nikon in size.
