Due to packages stolen from our porch shortly after they were delivered, no gifts for us for a few days. My wife and I will probably exchange something smaller in a few days. We're going to call the 26 or 27th Christmas. I'm just going to work on the 25th instead while she goes to Les Miserables.
The lesson - check whoever you buy items from as soon as shipping information is available. Retailers change companies (Amazon uses regional delivery people now who I didn't know exist). Missed putting mail on hold with them. :\

We're working on it. Fortunately nothing was too expensive or irreplaceable.

Brian--check for a UPS man in the neighborhood recently. 'Sorry to hear that.
For me a new pair of gloves, but I've got enough gear to last me the rest of my life.

Brian sorry to hear that.My place has a small courtyard so you have to go up to the wall and look over to see packages on my door step. Many a time stuff gets left with no problem but it just hasn't happened yet.
I got lots of food item this year and two bottles of Scotch from my wife. Go figure! I did get a Canon 1Ds in the mail
last week for a great price. That was my present to me.

So sorry to hear that Brian. I live in the Seattle area, we got a P.O. Box as our locked mail box's were broken into. Maybe next time have your items delivered to your workplace.
I wish you and your family the best. Merry Christmas, hope they catch that person.

Thats tough. & I thought I was feeling down cause Santa brought me nothing. I hope you feel better soon. I going to carry my camera to Sheetz & get my free cup of coffee & tell all the people working A Merry Christmas. They won't mind because all who work there on Christmas day volunteer.

Brian,
Were you the family on TV that caught the ahole on security cam?
Amazon sources from all over the country and will use whichever carriers work the best for everyone (excluding you, the customer). I've told them I would pay extra to be able to choose the carrier and shipping method but they insist they know better even though I'm calling because of chronic delivery problems.
My record is one order of five items sent via four different carriers (OnTrac, FedEx, UPS, and USPS). OnTrac seems to be a recent favorite of Amazon but they will use anything. I pay extra for Prime so I don't have to play with Carrier Roulette and risk getting FedEx Ground.
Edit: I forgot to mention that my Christmas present to myself never showed up. Fortunately I was able to get my money back. Hope things work out for you, Brian.

Bad luck Brian, sorry to hear this. And Greg, bless you for spreading the festive spirit with those who are working - I am sure they will appreciate it and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Me, I've not opened my presents yet - will do so later at my sister's place where the family has gathered. But the one I'm really waiting for is a call/text from a girl. As it was my birthday this week I have some Irish whiskey that I was given which is just waiting to be opened later on to bring on a nice warm glow. I'll raise a glass to all of you. I hope you all have a lovely day, wherever you are, and whatever you are doing.
