Diet DP and water as everyday drinks.
Often iced tea.
Shiner Bock or New Castle Brown Ale.

And if I ever get to Montana, Ken can buy me a Moose Drool.

I can't vote cause the poll only allows one choice.

But (in no particular order) beer, from bud-light to guinness to local micro-brews. Vodka if I must - I am one of those who can discern no difference between a $5 bottle and a $50 bottle. Nigori sake, cold over ice, with dry Japanese beer if it's available. Hot sake if I'm in a sushi joint. Tequila, neat, and it's gotta be high end.

My favorite however are martinis - and there is no such thing as a "vodka martini'. You make one by filling the shaker with crushed ice. Pour vermouth into the shaker - it doesn't matter how much - shake it up for a good minute, and then pout it out. Fill the shaker with enough Bombay gin - not saphire, regular bombay. Shake it hard enough to break up the ice, and strain it into a conical, 3 ounce martini glass, let just a few ice crystals in. Drop in 2 or 3 olives. Regular pitted "spanish" olives, no pimentos, no blue cheese, no fancy-ass big, kalamata, or otherwise weird olives. Let the drink sit until the ice crystals disappear. Now drink it in 3 to 6 sips. Wait until you feel the buzz and repeat as many time as it takes until whatever drove you to drink in the first place no longer matters.

Now to wine: I'll drink any fermented grapes - from Cooks "champagne" to romanee batard montrechet. I drink cook's from the bottle, and the burgudy from a Reidel made especially for that particular varietal.

On mixing drinks: If I run out and still want more, I'll mix as needed, but try to take vitamins, aspirin and a valium so I don't get a hangover, and don't remember what I did to get there, the next morning.

ps, drink responsibly.

Black Coffee 16+ cups a day :)
I don't really drink much more, though I had a preference for single malt and real ale along with Trappist(sp?) beers.

Voted Lagavulin, as it's probably my overall favourite drink, but I drink practically anything. Not much ale or lager though, for beer it's probably got to be Leffe, Kwak or Chimay.

Chris101: Excellent discourse on martinis!
I do enjoy the occasional martini myself but more often tend to agree with Dorothy Parker:
.."one is too many and three aren't enough".

Right now, freshly brewed Starbucks Columbia coffee (store-ground) with cold half-n-half and a large spoonful of sugar.
