What F-mount Lens is Closest to Nokton 50mm 1.5?

My head is spinning trying to find a nice F-mount lens, either AF or MF, that renders an image similar to my Nokton 50mm 1.5... I have given up on one that is close to a 50 Summilux.

My 1.8 lenses do well (sorta) but the bokeh is a bit harsh.

I'll have to compare the Nokton 50/1.5 ASPH vs the Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 AI-S. I have both, and can compare them on the same Leica M-P sensor. 🙂
The Nikkor similarly has a very lovely rendering signature.

FWIW, my fav 50mm for F-mount for smooth and beautiful bokeh and tones is the 5cm f/2 Nikkor-S w/ 9-blade aperture.

For an AF lens that would fit the F6 and any FX or DX Nikon body, that 50mm 1.8 lens looks terrific especially at the price.😉

Well, that's lovely. I always liked the Nokton. I'm a bit disappointed that i got out of rangefinders before i had a chance to own one.

I would first suggest that you get a 50/1.8 Series E. I don't know that it's a match for a Nokton, but after my Leica experiences with (in order) a 50/1.5 Sonnar, 50 DR, 50 Summilux, Zeiss Planar 50/2, 50 Summicron-modern, and then 50 Summilux-ASPH, i paid about $35 for a 50/1.8 Series E and finally got the results i had been looking for. It's a small lens, and they're cheap, so there's no reason not to have one. And, when i compared it last week to my 50/1.8G, i was shocked to find that the E was as sharp. I love the bokeh at 2.8, which is where i most often use it.

But, here are some links to the 50/1.8 G, and a couple of them show its character and induced me to buy it. The G is not small, but it is light. It looks and feels pretty good on my F100.
